Synopsis

Makoto Ito is a young Japanese high school student beginning his second term at the fictional Sakakino Academy. During his daily train rides to and from school, he becomes infatuated with fellow student Kotonoha Katsura; a girl that also commutes. When a new classmate acquaintance of his, Sekai Saionji, discovers his secret crush on Kotonoha, she helps introduce both of them to each other and over time they grow closer and agree to date. Synopsis:

Ginta adalah seorang anak SMP yang mempunyai tubuh yang tidak kuat dalam berolahraga, senang dengan cerita dongeng dan selalu mengimpikan dapat pergi ke negeri dongeng. Suatu hari muncul monster berbentuk pintu besar dalam kelas Ginta mengajak Ginta untuk ikut ke negeri dongeng bernama MAR Heaven, tapi tidak ada jaminan kalau Ginta bisa kembali lagi kedunia yang sebenarnya. Ginta merasa telah menemukan dunia dalam mimpinya dimana dia bisa menjadi orang lain. Setelah tiba di negeri MAR Heaven, Ginta menjadi lebih kuat dibandingkan di dunianya, yang disebabkan oleh rendahnya tingkat gravitasi MAR Heaven. Di MAR Heaven, Ginta bertemu dengan penyihir cantik misterius bernama Dorothy, yang tertarik dengan Ginta yang masih polos. Dorothy mengenalkan Ginta tentang benda ajaib yang berupa accessories bernama "ÄRM" (diucapkan ar-mu).

Dorothy berencana untuk mendapatkan ÄRM bernama Babbo yang misterius, dan mengajak Ginta untuk ikut bersamanya. Babbo adalah ÄRM yang sangat istimewa; dia bisa berubah ke beberapa bentuk tergantung dengan daya imajinasi dan kekuatan dari yang memilikinya. Babbo kehilangan ingatannya dan menyebut dirinya sendiri "gentleman". Setelah menyelamatkan Dorothy dari penjaga Babbo, Ginta menjadi pemilik baru Babbo, yang ternyata dulunya adalah ARM milik Phantom.

Ginta melanjutkan perjalanannya, menjelajah dunia dongeng, tapi dia ternyata juga merindukan dunianya sendiri. Akhirnya Ginta berfikir untuk mencari jalan kembali kedunianya sambil menikmati perjalanannya di MAR Heaven selama mungkin. Kemudian Ginta berteman dengan Jack yang tinggal bersama ibunya. Dia menolong Jack dari penjahat yang menginginkan tanah pertanian milik keluarganya. Jack yang merasa berhutang budi ikut bersama Ginta untuk menemukan kembali dunia Ginta. Ginta menyadari bahwa dunia MAR Heaven tidaklah sedamai yang dia kira, dia diserang beberapa pencuri yang memperebutkan Babbo (yang diinginkan prajurit Chess). Tidak lama berselang Ginta bertemu dengan Alviss, orang yang membawa Ginta ke MÄR-Heaven menggunakan ARM Gatekeeper Pierrot, dan telah ikut andil dalam peperangan sebelumnya dengan prajurit Chess. Mulanya Alviss bersikap dingin dan tidak mempercayai Ginta yang bodoh, tapi dia bertaruh demi kemenangan MAR Heaven melawan prajurit Chess dan menyadari kekuatan Ginta yang tersembunyi. Prajurit Chess bertujuan untuk menghancurkan perdamaian MÄR Heaven. Ginta juga menyadari bahwa ayahnya telah menjadi pahlawan di MAR heaven. Kemudian dia mengetahui bahwa ayahnya tewas dalam pertarungan melawan Phantom dan memutuskan untuk menolong MAR Heaven dari kejahatan Phantom dkk.
